Event Information

The Tour de Fright will take place on October 9, 2010 and will consist of 2 routes: a family stage called the "The Trick or Treat Trail" and, an intermediate/advanced stage called "The Ghost Grind".  Both routes will start at The Knights of Columbus and Ludlow Vets located in Ludlow, Kentucky.  The Knights of Columbus is located at 828 Elm Street, Ludlow, Kentucky  41016.  The Ludlow Vets, whose address is 830 Elm Street, Ludlow, Kentucky  4106, is located right next door to The Knights of Columbus.  The Knights of Columbus and Ludlow Vets share a large parking lot along Elm Street. 

The Trick or Treat Trail
Check-in for the The Trick or Treat Trail will be at the Knights of Columbus and Ludlow Vets and will last from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Festivities related to The Trick or Treat Trail will officially begin at 11:00 a.m. The Trick or Treat Trail will consist of a variety of events, including an initial Bicycle Safety Course presented by the Boone County Sheriff's Department at 10:45AM. Immediately following the the Bicycle Safety Course registrants will travel approximately 1.5 miles through the streets of Bromely and Ludlow to collect candy and other goodies. There will be a Best Costume Contest following the ride. So, make sure you wear your costumes! There will also be games at the Knights of Columbus and Ludlow Vets for all children to enjoy both before and after they complete the Trick or Treat Trail.

The Ghost Grind
Check in for the The Ghost Grind will also be at the Knights of Columbus and Ludlow Vets and will last from 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. The Ghost Grind will start at 9:30 a.m., will take riders out along Route 8 to Conrad Park in Hebron, Kentucky, and will bring them back to the Knights of Columbus and Ludlow Vets. The Ghost Grind will cover a total distance of 23 miles. Refreshments will be available for riders at the starting line, the 6 mile mark, the 11.5 mile mark, the 17 mile mark, and the finish line.  Advanced riders are also welcome to ride to the end of Route 8, which extends the route to nearly 30 miles.

Registrants are free to partipate in all Tour de Fright events, including breakfast, both routes, the Bicycle Safety Course, all games, the Best Costume Contest, and lunch. Coffee, juice, water and various breakfast items (including bagels and fruit) will be available at the Knights of Columbus for all registrants during check-in. Lunch will be available for all registrants starting at 11:30 a.m. Also, all donors, sponsors, and non-participating family members of registrants are welcome to help themselves to breakfast, lunch, and all refreshements.  Weather permitting, lunch will be served at the Knights of Columbus and Ludlow Vets.  In the event of rain and/or cold weather, lunch will be served at Bromley Christian Church (just a few blocks away at 216 Kenton Street, Bromley Kentucky 41016).
